How do I share a video with someone?


There are six different ways to share videos with your friends! To email or forward a link to a video you'd like to share, locate the "Forward to Friend" or "Email Video Link" hyperlinks.

The four other ways include putting a video in your Vehicle Profile, direct URL, embedding, and posting a link on a message forum. Below are the steps you should take when using these sharing options:

Profile

Use this option to put a video on any vehicle's profile within your user garage. People will be able to watch the video while viewing your vehicle!

  1. Click the textbox next to "Profile:" on the video viewing page, in the "Link to Video" infobox. The text should automatically highlite. Copy this text.
  2. Navigate to any of your vehicle's profiles and click the "Edit Profile" link. Paste the text into any text field (About, Factory Options, Exterior, Interior, Performance, Suspension/Chassis, Drivetrain, Electronics).
  3. Click the "Save Settings" button and view your vehicle. The video player will appear with the intended video right on your vehicle's profile.


Direct URL

Use this option to send a direct link to the video page on FQuick that contains the video you'd like to share with others.

  1. Click the textbox next to "URL:" on the video viewing page, in the "Link to Video" infobox. The text should automatically highlite. Copy this text.
  2. Open an email, instant message, or website and paste the text.


Embed

Use this option to get the source code to place in a HTML file to have a videoplayer load within a webpage.

  1. Click the textbox next to "Embed:" on the video viewing page, in the "Link to Video" infobox. The text should automatically highlite. Copy this text.
  2. Open the HTML file and paste the text into the source.


Forum

Use this option to paste an image thumbnail and hyperlink to a video on a message forum, like vBulletin or phpBB.

  1. Click the textbox next to "Forum:" on the video viewing page, in the "Link to Video" infobox. The text should automatically highlite. Copy this text.
  2. Go into the forum's textbox and paste the text.
