I'm 39 and I have had this car since I was 14 so I guess since 1984 or so. I'm the second owner of the car. She's had many transformations over the years and she needs a little TLC now. The only time the car was painted was in 1987. the color was called dark red poly. It was a acrlic enamal PPG paint that has faded bad over the years.
The car came with a 210 hp 327. It had a colum shift Powerglide. The car was pretty much a stock coupe all though it did come with deluxe interior and a bench/bucket front seat. I changed trasmissions and shifters many times so the seat didn't work out. I gave it to a buddy who put it in his El camino which he crashed and the car went to the junkyard. I kick myself for that. You don't see to many bench/buckets. Young kids do stupid thing's and you always regret them when you get older. I guess I should of listened to my dad. Kid's make note of that, your dad was a kid gearhead once and learned the hard way. Listem to him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At present it has a Muncie 4 speed with a 11" Hays clutch and Lakewood bell housing using. The rearend is a 12 bolt 3.90 out of a 1969 442 Olds.
I need to get some ideas on lowering the rear of the car. It still has mono leaf suspension.

Mike, To stay with the Stock Rear Suspension Configuration, this is the way to go, it's also legal for Real Street and True Street Classes if you are thinking of Drag Racing the Car, they can answer any questions on Ride Height too, http://www.calvertra
I need to figure out how to lower this old girl without spending to much $$$$$$. It has 275/60R15 Micky ET Streets that I would like to get a little tighter looking.
