My first bike, and the inspiration for endless roadtrips in and around the AZ deserts. Bought it brand new in 2004, my buddy mark came with me and decided to buy his own V-Star while we were there, so we left the dealer together with two bikes instead of one.

I went everywhere on this thing - rode in 120 degree heat, 20 degree nights, pouring rain, hail, sand storms, didn't matter. Didn't even have a working car for the first year I owned this bike. Put about 15,000 miles on it. Not the greatest bike for long distances but it was doable - 100mph was possible on a real cold night with the throttle pegged, on a slight downhill slope. Unfortunately Mark was taken before his time on his V-Star, so I haven't had much motivation to ride much in the past couple of years.
