203,000 miles + 15 psi = <3
Feb 10
finally got the manual boost controller set up running 200% factory boost. with a turbo as small as the one i have that is probably just about all i can practically produce.
the problem is that i exposed a problem with blowby at boost settings over say, 12 psi, so now i KNOW that i have to rebuild sooner rather than later. at least these engines aren't too expensive.
right now i have the PCV venting to the atmosphere instead of the intake to try to get all of the pressure out of the crankcase, and the engine seems to like that pretty well.

I want a moose badge ! The whole concept of this car is cool, moose badge, turbo, even your page layout.
heh, no ass kicking yet... not until i get a good fuel map for 15 psi
there is a guy at my local track that runs a 740 wagon with a disconnected wastegate, goes high 12s at 106... 270,000 mile engine for the last two years in a row.
thats awesome you went to that extent on the volvo, i would love to see the looks on peoples face when you kick their asses!
