This was the first vehicle I ever owned. Me and my dad bought it when I was 14 with the intentions of fixing it up and doing a few mods for it to be a nice driver. When we pulled up the carpet there were no floor pans. They were replaced by galvanized steel rivited over the non-existant rusted floor pans. Lots of rust repair ensued and like any good project, it got way out of hand.
By the time I was 16 we were entering it in shows and we took home our share of trophys. When I was 18 it was featured in a 3 page spread in VW trends magazine.
Its a super-beetle. I don't remember the other factory stuff.
