VFW Show 8-9-08
Today wasn't a bad day for Mustangs at the VFW Post 6378 Car Show down in Dickinson, TX. Several of us went home with 2nd place trophies and one or two mustangs took home 1st place in their classes. The day was super hot and humid so most of the day was spent walking around in what felt like a sauna. Luckily, the Sterns where there with their canopy and they let me camp out under it during the heat of the day. They both went home with 2nd place trophies for Diggy Lo and Diggy La (their trophy room must be just about full). I went home with a 2nd place trophy as well, but I honestly didn't expect to. I spoke to the judges while they were judging me and they both seemed like pretty good judges. They both pointed out things that I hadn't noticed before and gave me so tips for the next show. I'm not sure when that'll be though. MCOH has our show on October 18th, but I'll be up in Dallas that weekend for a wedding. Oh well, I'll make it to a MCOH show one of these days.

MOCA show in Austin, TX 8-2-08
There were four SGTs in the MOCA show and we all went home with Class Awards. I actually didn't expect to win anything since I'm more of a track guy and would rather spend a few hours bleeding my brakes than cleaning the engine with a q-tip. Still, it was great that I went home with a class award - first one ever (though it was only my 3rd show).
