About this Current Vehicle:

Of the 1,550 Turbo Trans Am's built 1,511 had the optional t-top roof but only 202 came with the standard cloth seating and only 187 had the combination of t-top roof with cloth seating. This is also 1989 Indy Festival Car #96, Festival Cars were cloth interior cars with the t-top option.

At 74,745 miles it was completely disassembled and went through a sort of body on restoration starting in January 2009 and will be completed for the 2009 Hot Rod Power Tour this June. Paint and body work was handled by Bob at Magic Collision Center in Westbury, NY who did an excellent job getting it done on time and in budget.

June 6th - June 13th 2009

3,332 miles and 10 days later the 2009 Hot Rod Power Tour, and my two side trips to Indy Motor Speedway and the National Corvette Museum were completed without a hitch.

Also took part in the Firebird Lawn Show at the Saratoga Auto Museum, the 2009 Trans Am Nationals 25th Anniversary in Dayton, OH, and the NYThirdgen.com NY Power Tour from Orchard Beach to Oak Beach (err.. Captree close enough )
