I purchased the car new in Oct 01 and since then it has been an eternal work in progress trying to get it exactly the way I want it. I did bolt ons and such first like everybody else, then built up the suspension. After that in went a GMPP LS1 hotcam kit and a custom tune from Rapid motorsports and I was hooked on modding. Added a 12 bolt with 4.10's shortly after and the result was a car with 385RWH/384RWTQ that ran consistent 11.7-12.0 @ around 112-114 MPH. Then I started tearing up parts, mostly transmisson stuff so after my 4th clutch and 3rd transmission in went a 4l60/65E hybrid transmission. Shortly after I dropped a lifter so I decided to start with a clean slate and built the car as it is now. The new engine puts out 469RWH and 437 RWTQ, and that is with the mild cam in there and a 2500 stall, so I could milk some more out of it in the future. After some disatrous trips to the track with drag radials and a handful of 12.2 timeslips with 115+ MPH trap speeds, I finally recently borrowed some good tires and laid down an 11.44 @ 118.55. Might be a tenth or two more in her but I'm happy, for now anyway.
Update: New best of 11.01 @ 120 at the track!

The local PD decided my exhaust was too loud, so off went the stainless works chambered cat-back and back on went the Maganflow.
