It's in!

I finally got my LT4 Hot Cam Kit installed...it sounds great! I'll upload a video and sound clips to let you hear the end results...sounds pretty lopey!

Dec 05

It's been a while...

Alright...lots has changed since I last updated. I got the door ding moldings off, and it looks so much cleaner! I also Plasti-Dipped my wheels and I'm very happy how that turned out as well...anyways so you know something has to go wrong with these LT1's at some point. My opti took a shit on me about a month ago, so I replaced that. It was kind of a pain in the ass, but got 'er done. Of course the water pump is leaking now, but no worries, this time I'm having the car torn apart for a purpose! I ordered the GMPP LT4 Hot Cam Kit, complete with cam, rocker arms, valve springs, shims, retainers, etc. I have been doing a lot of reading at www.shbox.com for the How-To guide, I highly recommend this site. To add to the mods, I'm replacing the sure-to-fail stock coil (ICM) with an MSD Blaster Coil. I can't wait to do these mods, supposed to be 40-50 hp increase Smile here's the cam specs:
RPM Range: Idle - 6000
Duration @ .050: .218 Intake / .228 Exhaust
Valve Lift With 1.6 Rockers: .525 Intake / .525 Exhaust
Lobe Seperation: 112 Degrees
Lobe Centerline: 109 Degree Intake / 115 Degree Exhaust

Thanks for the compliments. I found my firehawk hood and wheels on LS1tech in the classifieds section off a parted out firehawk. They don't make the hood or wheels anymore so they are hard to find. You cant go wrong with a set of torq thrust II's on

Nice bird! Can't wait to see some more pics of this beast. Don't do Mickey Thompsons if your car is a daily driver. I had them, terrible in the rain and lasted about 4k miles not to mention they are pricey. I would highly recommend Nitto DR's. Goo
