I had always wanted a 98+ Trans Am since my sophomore year in high school when they were released. I picked up a 1998 Grand Prix SE 3800, shortly after graduation and started building my credit. On June 4th of 2001 I found and purchased my 2000 Trans Am with 17K miles, sitting in stock form on a dealers lot. Some time went by before I started modding the car but in the meantime I drove it to 13.2 @ 107mph in the 1/4 mile on street tires and it dynoed 296rwhp and 314rwtq the very next day (stock down to the paper air filter)! I was hooked from there.
In Feb. 2004 I feel asleep behind the wheel on the highway, ending up spinning out and flipping the car completely over landing back on it's wheels. Needless to say the Trans Am was totalled and I began my search for a new car.......The GTO was brought over from Austrailia and in my view!!!!
