Disturbed
Well I picked this car up right after I did a state side tour with my Nat'l Guard unit back in April of 04. At the time it had about 18,000 miles on it and it was a lease vehicle so it didn't see much action, not till it got in my hands anyway. I daily drive this car an it has been the best vehicle I have ever owned, the LS1 is an amazing engine with an awesome aftermarket. She has some flaws here an there but I love the car regardless and it is a blast to drive, I don't think I could ever sell it. My T/A has about 57,000 miles on it now an runs stronger than ever and for a car thats almost 10 years old its in pretty descent shape.

I finally decided to do something the other day that ive been wanting to do since I got to the Pacific NW. I finally signed up for the Proformance Racing School held out at PIR. I figured since I'm heading out to Hawaii in November, I might not get another opportunity like this. At $535 its not cheap but I hear good things about it so I'm excited. Now all I need to do is prep my car, which I have to do fairly quickly since I start on the 14th of July. My main concern is my brakes--I changed out the front rotors an all 4 pads during the winter but my brakes still suck. I'm not screwing around anymore I bought 4 new Brembo blank rotors with Hawk ceramic pads, hopefully this will be more than enough to stop the T/A for the road course. I'm also still waiting on my catch can to arrive, I'm hoping it gets here before I go on leave.

Awhile back, I noticed I was getting oil in my throttle body again. This has really started to annoy me as I thought by some act of god that it went away but I'm pretty sure it happens when I really get on it. I.E. going thru the twisties on the way to Mt. Rainier. So I decided I'd just order a catch can an be done with it. I should've done this a long time ago but its one of those mods that you do but doesn't help you go any faster, I hate those kind of mods but oh well, at least i'll keep the oil out of my throttle body and intake

Awhile back I had purchased some UMI LCAs with relocation brackets. They had been collecting dust under my bed for quite some time an finally got to put them on as soon as I got done with Sergeant School. Upon putting this all important traction modification in place, I realized that I had accidently cross-threaded my lower shock mounting bolt "DOH!" This nut was a massive pain in the ass to get off an realized this bolt was not going back in. So I had to improvise an stick another bolt in there while I searched around for another one. As the days went by I searched numerous places in the Tacoma area for a special lower shock mounting bolt. I couldn't find one anywhwere, I must've tried 6 different places. Finally I just decided to go to the source an call Edelbrock. After being on hold for over 15 minutes, I was finally able to talk to a real person and was actually surprisingly helpful. "So how much for the bolt I asked"
"Oh we'll send it out for free"
"Really? wow you guys are awesome!"
So now I'm just waiting for this piece to come in so I can finally fix my bone head mistake.
