About this Previous Vehicle:

It was my Second car, Bought it when I was 19 for $8,700, What a piece of crap compared to my new one... I drove it 9 hours to Georgia to sell it for $7000. I had put 20,000 miles on it since I bought it the year before...

I was the bandit on the last day with the car...

So, the day came when I finally found a buyer for the T/A. Problem was he lives in Savannah GA, and I live in Fairfax, VA... Next problem was, he needs the car by Sunday, and It's Friday... So, after haggling with him all day Friday, we get a sales price, and a bill of sale written up and signed by both parties. And my father and I got in my car and drove that POS 9 hours to Georgia... Now if you recall, in Smokey and the Bandit, the Bandit has to drive to Texas and back in a very short time span, where were they going back to? Georgia... So I had a deadline to drive my black Trans Am to Georgia... I was the fucking Bandit for the day... It was amazing....

Good Times with T-Tops and Torque

Summer, 2007, I went to my brother's girlfriend at the time's cabin in West Virginia, Took my T/A all the way to the top of maintain, gravel roads, twisty roads, sooo much fun. Anyway, at the cabin, I was taking interest in one of my brother's girlfriend's friends, so I took her out in the T/A... Showed her some simple gravel tricks, some steering feats, whatever, all basic maneuvers... Then we pulled up at a barren hill. On top of this mountain there were no lights, you could see every star in the sky, my T-Tops had been off all day, and we sat on the top bar on my car and watched the sky while talking about cars and music and all sorts of things... I'm a fucking idiot though, because I didn't make out with her when I should have, ah well, the point is Trans AM's are dead sexy...

Traction Control Sucks...

Anyone who has driven one of these cars should know by now, that the traction control system is only good on dry pavement, it actually totally fucks you over in extreme weather conditions. Winter, 2006 I was driving on a particularly windy road when I hit a big patch of black ice. The car slid sideways and I'm going about 40, perpendicular to the road in the middle of both lanes on a 2 lane road with cars coming in the distance. I slide into a ditch, meanwhile my foot is still on the gas. Now as I was saying, Th traction control system will try to stop the tires when there's no traction... but in this condition, stopping the tires means you can't slide back out, or hopefully hit something you can get traction from, so I quickly hit the TCS switch and turned it off, stomped on the gas and launched myself out of the ditch just as a car would have hit me... The car started sliding in the opposite direction but in the lane I was supposed to be on, I counter steered and regained control... God damn I'm good....
