About this Current Vehicle:

I own a 87 Pontiac Trans Am. Its red, with T-tops. Its got the 5.0L Tuned Port Injection motor, with the 700r4 transmission. I bought this in April of 2005 for $4000.00 from a student who needed to sell it to have money for school. My 1st upgrade was the ignition. I installed accel plug wires, cap, rotor, and super coil. I installed top of line auto-lite plugs thanks to my friend Nick. Next was SLP cold air induction system. Then I removed the charcoal canister. I went to ABC warehouse and had a custom built box in the rear with 2 -12" subs, new speakers by the rear seats, and new speakers up front. Also I bought a new CD deck and a nice amp for it. $1000.00 later it was all done. Next was headers and a nice sounding exhaust. So I bought ceramic coated headers and the matching Y pipe, the nice 3" performance pipe, 80 series flow master muffler, with duel 18" stainless steel tips. Oh.....it has "true flow through exhaust" So with that, I got rid of all the emissions items. The last thing I wanted to do was get rid of the stock 2.72 gear in the rear end. So I had to update to a series 3 carrier and I put in a Richmond 3.73 gear. WOW, it really woke my car up! So I drove it for the remainder of 2005. When I got it back out in the Spring of 2006, I wanted more. So I went out and bought new 17"x8" American Racing Torque II's. I bought an Edelbrock hi-flow intake, Edelbrock hi flow runners, a ported and polished Plenum. Well I had everything apart and said "what the hell" and I pulled the stock cam out and bought a new cam, new springs, a double timing chain and gear set, and a Holley adjustable fuel pressure reg. I put everything back together and it ran like crap. So off to Backwoods Racing in Midland MI. They did some tests and I had 5 bad fuel injectors. So they took it all apart, and installed new LT1 24# injectors. Put it all back together, and did about 30 pulls on the dyno machine to try to tune it just right. But I love my car. it sounds really nice with the new cam and all.
In the Spring of 2007 I lowered my car, I bought some Sport-Line springs. And new ball joints while I was there. It sits REALLY GOOD!!
Now in 2008, I bought Spohn sub-frame connectors. And I'm going to have them installed. Then my car will get a new paint job. I also bought a door popper kit because when we do the paint......were going to shave the door handles and the locks.
It should look really nice when were all done.
I did Buy a 350 block bored .040 over, I think sense the 305 runs so good. I'll save up and make it a stroker motor. So I will slowly be building that. And maybe swap in 2009.
I hope you like it. Its a car I'm going to have for the rest of my life.

update so far....car is in the process of getting repainted YIPPIE!!!
Door handles, locks, and antenna have all been shaved. Side moldings will not be put back on.
The car will be a show stopper for sure!!! As you can tell by the new pics...its coming along really nice.
Candy Apple Red is an expensive paint....but well worth it!

Factory Options:

T-tops, power steering, power brakes, power locks, power rear hatch, performance suspension, Stock 16" rims (but I sold them and bought my 17" Torque thrust II's) 305 Tuned Port Injection.

Exterior Modifications:

New 17" torque thrust II's, New duel exhaust. Sport Line Springs. Lowered 1.4" in the rear & 1.6" in the front.
It sits really nice!
August of 2008 Brand new paint job by Discount Glass & Body in Bay City Michigan.

Interior Modifications:

All new stereo stuff all the way around, with a custom built sub box in the rear that holds 2 12" Directed subs.

Performance:

Stock was 190hp, I hope with the mods I did I added at least 75hp. Until I can get it back to the dyno in the spring.....maybe 265-275hp. If you think different let me know!
Thx.

Suspension/Chassis:

Performance suspension, I bought Eibach Sport-line springs, It lowered it almost 2" all the way around.

Drivetrain:

Richmond 3.73 gear, 700r4 tranny

Electronics:

N/A

To-Do List:

Slowly build my 383 stroker.
