A fun car when it was all done. I kind of miss it. She ke[pt up with LT1 4th gens and 300ZX Turbos. So she wasn't a total dog.
T-Tops, power all, cargo cover, and a 175hp 305 and a TH200 trans!
All black paint. Simple Trans Am fender & bumper decals (from a later year), and Pontiac racing stickers on hatch. And b-pillar eagles.
I also added power mirrors.
I added power seats & nice gray interior from wrecked 85. And not one rattle after I reassembled it. I also added a split rear seat, IIRC.
It kept up with new mid-90s twin turbo 300ZXs and LT1 Camaros, and was never embarrassed. Fun to drive, smoke on demand.
None other than 16" rims from an 85 TA and Michelin MXX hoops. The cool parts were not out yet when I had it. I did add rear disc brakes.
I wish SFC existed then - there was a nice tear in the floorpan in front of the RR trailing arm. You could feel the car move around like a noodle when you nailed the gas.
Crossfire Fuel Injection bored out to 2" bores, increased fuel pressue, K&N air filters, modified air cleaners, Hypertech satge 2 chip, low thermostat, a 9.5:1 350 with stock heads and some Crane cam. Parts that didn't exist then, like vaccum adjustible FP regulator and a faster ECM, and some manifold porting really would have made her hum.
Banks PowerPack 3" manifiold back (not just cat-back) exhaust - best sounding exhaust ever.
4-row brass radiator (a 2nd gen part number no less - I had a hammer), electric fan from 85 TA, the longest lower air dam GM made for a 3rd gen. It never ran hot. Ever.
TH350 trans, simple shift kit, 3000 rpm stall
Last rear was 3.27 9-bolt; stock was 2.93 10-bolt posi
100 amp alternator, 2g battery cables & multiple 4g ground straps - your wires can never be too big!
