I got this car before I turned way before I turned 16. I bought it for 550. I had plans to restore it and build it up. Well, I went at the body first and later found out that they only made this model for one year. the matching years were 1968-1969 and 1971-1972. I had a 1970. The rears on the cars are the same, but the front end pieces were completely different. I needed the front end pieces the most. I went to a junkyard in Orland and I was amazed to see about 5 Lemans' and I looked at everything and couldn't find any parts that I needed. So I decided to sell it and buy another car to fix up. Well I sold it to a guy in Chicago and he bought it for 1200 and paid t ohave it shipped to him. After I sold it I started to miss it and found 2 more 1968's that were already running and complete in sac. I told my dad I wanted to see them and I had talked to the guys over the phones. The morning I was about to leave I called the guys and one guy wasn't there so I got mad and didn't go look at them and ended up getting my 1988 pontiac firebird. I am glad I did. I still would love to get another Lemans someday.
