Start and rev before the Magnaflow cat went on.
I bought this car in August 2006. It came with the cam and rockers, I have done the stuff in parenthesis. I have also had to do some unexpected repairs not mentioned by the previous owner. I replaced some parts with better/more efficient parts as well, including the Wizair CAI and the bone stock "P&P'd blower" with a TripleEdgePerformance piece (VERY nice). My first time to the track was horrible, hopefully I'll be going to a better track this spring during the Michigan Grudge Match :-D
On a side note, I got 31.8 mpg on the way down to TN and 28.x on the way back, I'm hoping to squeeze a little more out of it, I just found out that my switch for the WB through the EGR has been in the wrong position, so I haven't had my EGR on at all. Now it's on and the PCM added 6 degrees of timing everywhere. So all in all I'm running 46 max during cruise, I'm thinking maybe I can hit 35 mpg :-P

Well, I got the rear rotors and pads replaced, also had to get a front wheel bearing replaced before a trip to Tennessee. I installed a Magnaflow high flow cat before my trip, 1050 miles and no problems the whole drive. I did find out that the brakes have been sticking in the front too, so now I need to get at least one new f-body caliper and have the rotors turned, hopefully I won't need to replace the rotors or the pads. On the upside I started tuning again, I finally got the histograms in HPTuners working with some help from Bob C at ClubGP.com. I will hopefully have another update after I get the rotors turned and some more tuning done!

Since my last entry disappeared...I got the crossover fixed, there were a bunch of leaks in it. I also got my stainless brake lines on and rear caliper replaced, it kept locking up and turned bright red...so I probably need to at least turn that rotor or possibly get a new one. On the up side I might not have to get new injectors since I was told that modifying the flow rate table more should get my mileage back up to where I want it, lets hope so! 20 mpg with mostly highway driving is not cutting it!
On a side note, I have to get rid of the Bullitts. I had some rust fixed in the rear fenders in November, but since the wheels stick out so much rocks and things already took the paint off the inside and it is rusting again! Time to look for some chrome torque stars...

Well, I found out I have a small coolant leak and an exhaust leak. My mechanic could not find/fix either one. We are pretty sure the exhaust leak is in the crossover, so I'm going to have to start looking for a new one. The coolant leak is a mystery however, although it may be the thermostat. The ticking from the exhaust really sucks when you commute!
