I picked this car up in November of 2006. I wanted something that I could drive every day as well as take on long road trips, but also a car that would be at home carving cones at the local autocross events or tearing down the drag strip on test-and-tune nights.
The GTO fit the bill perfectly. It's a blast when you're pushing it and performs very well, and it's also a very comfortable car that I can enjoy even if I'm just minding the speed limit and cruising along. I've never had a car that is this much fun AND this nice to drive all in one package. It's the only car I've ever owned that I can drive the speed limit all the way somewhere and enjoy driving the car, but then I can drop the hammer and get a nice rush too. It's so extremely well rounded.
The rare 2006 only Spice Red Metallic color sold me on the car, I went with an auto since I daily drive it, and the appearance and performance mods that I've done help make it stand out, look sporty yet classy, and it moves fairly well too. It's not so powerful that its tearing itself apart but its still alot of fun when your right foot wants it to be.
