About this Current Vehicle:

2006 Torrid Red GTO bought brand new from Community Motors in Oak Forest, IL (dealer trade). Was purchased in September of 06, and was the only one remaining in the tri-state area with red interior, red exterior, and ground effects package. Owned for over a year-and-a-half and still not even 10000 miles despite being an everyday driver! Now that I've bought a used Trans Am, I can keep the miles low for years to come.

Vehicle Journal:

Note to all: another enthusiast heard my sound system and was highly impressed. Trust me and trust him, the Cadence Daytona DCA4100 4x125 amp is worth every penny you spend on it!

Word to the wise: if you have a capacitor running at about 12-13 farads, and there are two amps hooked up to it running a total of about 1500-2000 watts between them, it's not a good idea to let your car sit unused in the cold for a week. Turns out that in addition to the cold sapping the energy, the capacitor puts a slow drain on the battery. Had to use the T/A to jump start the poor goat. Well, next time I don't expect to use the car for a while, I'm either disconnecting the capacitor or disconnecting the battery!

(cont.)...inside the cabin of the vehicle. Once I replace the head unit, the system will absolutely shriek! Mad As for the Lambo doors, well, they sure beat knocking my doors into other cars in a parking lot. Sad

The system would pound a lot better if not for the limitations of the Blaupunkt head unit, which automatically turns itself lower when it detects X amount of wattage being drawn. Still, it does thump pretty well, and the sound does a good job of staying
