I Finally Bought A GTO.

About this Current Vehicle:

I picked this up February 21, 2008. It's my new daily driver to replace the Trans Am. I love it and I can honestly say it's the nicest car I have ever owned.

I found it on the internet for a "Call for Price" listing. I talked to the sales manager and talked to him about my car, and we met the next morning to go over everything. He gave me what I wanted for it, and I got the GTO for what I wanted, so it was a big win. I have never owned a manual car before, so this was my first time really getting behind the wheel of a stick-shift. I already have the itch to sell this and get a Corvette, but I'll probably keep it another year or so.

This is the first BONE STOCK car I have ever owned...it's strange.

Well it has been well over a year now and I have to say that I still love this car. I enjoyed it so much that I ended up selling my Camaro because I stopped driving it to drive the GTO. What can I say, I just love the manual transmission.

Now I’m really getting into autocrossing. The GTO will be modified in the pages of High Performance Pontiac Magazine and has become sort of a small project car. The overall goal is quite hefty…out accelerate and corner a C6 Z06. Can it be done? Perhaps. We’ll just have to find out.
