I bought this used in Febuary 2006 to be my daily driver. It had the full SAP package but due to an accident only has the rockers and spoiler now. If you don't know what a new GTSLOW is, do some research.

Changed the oil today, car hadn't used a drop since the last one. It's about to cross 20,000 miles and other than some unbalanced rear tire wear, if you get my drift
, the car's running great. Summer's coming on which means warm weather and less power, but it also means drag strips are open again, so it's a tradeoff.
I entered the car in the Year One Braselton Bash last weekend. There were 5 other new GTOs with me, at one of which was the same color/interior combination with custom paintwork and a bunch of mods. There were probably 300+ cars there, mostly older muscle cars, many of which I would've voted for over my car. Somehow though, I made the top-25, which is my first award at any car show ever. Pretty cool, I was completely surprised and still have no idea how or why I won. Even more amazing, the other GTO in my color combo with all of the mods won too! So out of the 6-7 new GTOs there, TWO placed in the top-25, both the same color!

Put in the Billet shifter, catch can, and drag bags a few weeks ago. The Billet shifter was really hard to shift at first, but has loosened up now and shifts really nicely. In under 1000 miles I accumulated 1.5 Tabelspoons of oil in the catch can, so I'm glad that's not going into my intake. The drag bags have raised my ride height back up to at least what it's supposed to be stock, which looks much better. I also get more consistent tire spin with less wheelhop, but I haven't had the chance to test them out at the track. Hopefully I can cut some sub-2.0 second 60's and run some 12.8s-12.9s. Of course, if my clutch keeps locking me out of 4th it's not likely to happen.

Went to SDR in Reynolds, GA today. Track was terrible and crowded. I had absolutely no traction for 3 of my 4 runs (in 4 hours!), but was in the 13s all day regardless. Worst of 13.8, best of 13.1@108.8. I had the skidplate off and rear seats out for the first time, and the jack and spare out as usual. It wasn't worthless though, because I did figure out that my new tires like 22-24psi...lower than the stockers did. I had a great time hanging out with everyone, lots of GTOs there.
