Purchased new by my grandfather from the dealeship. Currently in the process of being restored, modded. Hopefully will be back on the road around summer of 2008. This is 1 of about 240 1970 Pontiac GTO's that came from the factory with a 455 motor, automatic transmission and convertible.

It is now 1:49am and I just got home from picking up the car. I got out to Orlando with the trailer ready to go around 7pm but the weather did not want to cooperate. So I hung around with the guys at Prodigy till almost midnight hoping for a clearing in the rain. The rainclouds over Orlando dissipated and we loaded the car up and got her home.

After months of searching I think I have finally found the brackets and hardware that I need to get the rear quarter panel windows installed. Ordered the parts through The Parts Place Inc. and they should be here the first of next week. As soon as they are here its off to the other shop to get them going on getting the windows in and the convertible top on, and then the car comes home to me.

The body has been off the frame and the body work was done to repair some poorly done body work in the past. Prodigy Customs out of Orlando performed the body work and paint. Despite being in good condition, the car needed a new hood, fenders, decklid, and rear quarter panels. The convertible top is scheduled to go on the car in the next couple of weeks.
