1998 Pontiac Firebird Formula

About this Current Vehicle:

Bought this car brand new, took delivery on June 2nd 1998 from Sullivan Pontiac in Arlington Heights, IL. Its all been downhill from there. It played tow vehicle to a 5x8 foot Uhaul for my move to Texas in July 98. It stayed stock until I hit the 12's (12.96 on regular ol radials). Then came the modifications.

Last trip to the track, it rained us out -- got one pass after they attempted to dry the track, and they still restricted us to 1/8th mile due to water in the shutdown area. At any rate, launched nice and soft to run a 7.46 @ 96 MPH on motor (1.80 sixty foot). One of these years I'll get back out and see what it runs on the hose.

Factory Options:

Every option except WS6 and leather

Exterior Modifications:

HP Racing EVO 19 inch rims, 19 x 8.5 front, 19 x 9.5 rear, Hyper Grey finish

Interior Modifications:

Blue gauge cluster illumination
Custom 1/4 inch carpet burn in the hatch well from the welder (oops)
Aftermarket stereo stuff in factory locations
20% window tint on sides and back
5% window tint on T-tops

Yes, switching from an iron block nitrous motor, to an aluminum block twin turbo. Should be a lot nicer for a daily driver. No more filling bottles, taking them in and out of the car so the Texas sun doesn't overheat it while you're at work, etc. Wink

He never takes it to the track any way! Those times are from Cloberthon 1 or some thing to that effect
