About this Current Vehicle:

I bought the Formula in September 2005. This is my third Firebird. I have owned a 1991 V8 Firebird and a 1997 WS6 Trans AM. Both were fun cars, but nothing like the LS1 Formula.
Here is an 11.7 run on nitrous before the custom cam, intake, gears, underdrive pulley, 4000 stall and tune.

Here's a quick dyno run to tune the new custom grind cam on 04/08.

Factory Options:

Leather seats, Auto (Yes I stalled it), T-Tops, Power everything and a 500 Watt Monsoon System.

Exterior Modifications:

None

Interior Modifications:

None

Performance:

I have added pretty much all the Bolt ons (PS Headers, ORY, Magnaflow exhaust, Lid, TCI Streetfighter Converter, Ported Throttle body, SSRA Ram Air Kit , Cut Out, Custom Tune, oh ya and and Nitrous. At the track this setup has helped me dip deep into the 11's even with 2.73 gears (1.69 60') and 118 trap!!! Now it's onto 3.42's!!! Can't wait for new times. The car is a blast to drive.

On 03/08 the Formula was sent back to New Era Performance for more mods. I decided to go with a custom grind cam, BBK intake and March Underdrive Pulley. I was planning on a turbo setup but love the sound and power of the new cam. Here are the other mods that were added: Double roller timing chain, Patriot dual gold springs, TFS Chromoly pushrods, ported oil pump. NEP also took out the EGR, air pump, & harware to reduce the weight.

06/20/08: Replaced the TCI 3000 converter with a 4000 stall converter from Circle D. There is a night and day difference in performance!!! It is a little looser on the street but still street friendly

I have started reducing more weight of my Formula. The A/C which I have never actually turned on is also coming out soon.

Suspension/Chassis:

Bilistein Shocks

Drivetrain:

N/A

Electronics:

Stock system plus a Bazooka 100 watt 8 inch subwoofer. It was a great addition to the stock system.

To-Do List:

Built tranny spring 2009.
