Bought in august of 2003, I started with simple bolt ons and eventually replaced the entire engine and rebuilt the transmission. It had a 383 stroker, heads ported by lloyd elliot, a custom cam by bret bauer through lloyd elliot, and an LT1 intake also ported by lloyd elliot. It put the power to the ground through a locally built 4L60E transmission and 3.73s in a stock 10 bolt rear end.
I got a severely traction limited best of 12.7 @ 112.5 a week before I spun a rod bearing. After nearly 3 years and more money than I would like to admit I decided to return the car to stock and try another project.
update: I'll consider this the old "version" of this car. I'll be starting the new version soon and since it'll be a bit different I'll start a new page.

built 4L60E with the 383, stock 4L60E installed with stock LT1 now.
Strange 3.73 gears in stock 10 bolt rear.
PCM tuning by MadZ28. including my bolt on tune, my 383 tune, and back to stock tune.
