I bought this car back in 2004, when i was 17, for just over 4000 dollars. It is my first car, my dream car, and my absolute baby. She's killed at least two relationships and drinks every spare dime I find, but it's worth it all and then more! I picked the old girl up in almost-original condition (mildly, poorly restored) and have since been turning it into the beast that haunts my dreams.
It's still VERY MUCH a work in progress, but I completed my first subsystem on the car this year--the suspension. Now before you knock ART's suspension design, go out there and give it a try. I was a staunch believer in traditional coil-overs as the only way to go for a handling-oriented car, but Bret, the owner of air ride, took me out in their camaro and made me a believer. If you're ever anywhere near Greenwood, Greenville, or Spartanburg South Carolina, let me know! I'll take you out for yourself and let you see if it still feels like the lowrider junk everyone expects it to be.
