a crappy sound clip
Bought the car Jan. 13 2006, and have loved every minute of owning it
The dyno numbers i have posted were made on stock manifolds, and pretty much 5 cylinders (none of which we believe were fireing at there best either since we had stock length push rods still in it with ported heads and aftermarket cam.

well ever since ive built this motor, its never really had a good tune in it. the first time i had it tuned, the motor had a few valve guides that barely still there, so it wasnt running so good and made a max of 212 whp. Shortly after the motor was fixed and i installed a 3500 stall torque converter.I also experimented with trying to create my own ram air setup on the car which consisted of having a K&N air filter on the TB and tubing running to the front of the car. with this, the car was very inconsistant, but ran a best of a 13.86. just last winter i took the car to see what kind of power it was making with that setup. it made a best of 196 whp and 205 TQ. Just recently i decided to try to finish the car the way ive wanted it (better intake and a good tune), so i built a good intake for it (not that the other one wasnt alright, i just think the filter was a bit to small, and being so close to the engine, the car would start sucking in hot air and would slow down). The base run on the dyno showed that i picked up 6 hp (up from 196 to 202) just from the intake, then gained another 21 from the tune and another 25 TQ at the wheels for a total of 223 whp and 230 Tq. so over all the car gained 27 whp and 25 tq. Also to be noted, the 196 hp was made iin the middle of winter, while the 223 was made the other day while it was 78 degrees and humid out.
So im hoping for some great new times the next time out to the track.

Well as of about a week ago, ive decided to cancel the 5.3 build and go with something a little meaner. Ive put the 5.3 up for sale, and just recently picked up an LS1 4L60E transmission, and am now on the hunt for either an LS1 or a 6.0L LQ4. I also just recently got the car weighed at the local track, and came out to measly, but awsome 3085 pounds. So LS1/LQ4 + heads and cam + 3085 pound car = tons o fun lol.

Well, as of thursday night, all other plans i have had for the 6 cylinder are gone. I recently picked up an LR4 (4.8L) from a friend and was planning on taking my time to build up and put it in the bird. I still had a few more things to do with the 6, but the car was wrecked thursday night so all funds i had to finish playing with the 6 is going to fix the car. So with in a year, im looking to have the car back on the road shortly, and having the new motor and such in by this year.
