Bought it off my best friend in January 2006. It was his replacement for his 1989 firebird which was tboned and totaled 2 years ago. the '89 is was got me hooked on f-bodies...so i'd had to have the replacement for her. So the 84 began to sit since the block is cracked, and i plan to do an engine swap sometime in the future. My first car actually purchased...and i was 16.

after installing my new driver side sun visor in the '00, i walked by the 84 in the garage when i was putting tools away...realizing the window was still down...(been down forever to let her air out) i went inside and grabbed the keys. She hasnt been started in over 4 months and i wanted to put the window up...i thought the battery would be shot...so i turned it to accesories power...put the window up, and im like fuck it...lets see if she'll start...started cranking her over, giving her some gas...didnt want to flood her or screw up the starter...so i kept letting off...after the 5th time she caught, then put putted and died...stupid cold and carbs...after the 7th time, she stayed running...let her warm up, and revved up to 2000 rpm...almost died on my again, let off the gas and she kept on running...you can hear the knock in the engine realllll bad when she's cold and not warmed up yet...after a good 10 minutes of playing with her... (at this point im almost dying from the exhaust fumes b/c im in an enclosed garage and no exhaust from the cat back...) i cut her off...and hung the keys back up...i really missed this car...im suprised she started for me after sitting for 4 months...driver front tire is flat as well...now if only the formy would start...i should go throw the battery charger on her...i love my fbodies...cant wait till their on the road!

Well don't give up your ideas with this one as there are plenty of ways to go with it.
Love the rides " 5 stars " for ya
Hard to believe that car is almost 25 years old... good luck with the project!
Nice looking 3rd Gen.

Can't wait to see some pics or vids when you have finished restoring her to glory.
Good luck with it
