I bought this car for $500? Anyways, it originally had a v6 in it, but someone had swapped a 307 into it, and let someone drive it with just manifolds for exhaust and a Holly 750 double pumper on it. Needless to say, it had a rough idle. I don't say lopey, because lope is from a cam, and this was from toasted valves and seats because of the open exhaust. I put a shift kit in it, and fixed various things, like the oil gauge since the 307 had the original oil pressure switch, and the car had a gauge, put a new starter in it so it started a lot easier, swapped guts on an alternator so I could leave the battery hooked up over night without it going dead, and I put an exhaust on it that exited out right in front of the back tires (it sounded nice despite the idle). Then I found out the guy couldn't produce a title for it and I had to let it go because I could never legally put it on the road. What had happened was he had 2 GPs, and gave my title to a woman for the other GP. Then she wrecked hers, so my title was then classified as totaled out after her car went to the scrap yard. I was very mad, but a young pup just out of high school so I didn't know what my options were... I loved that car
