About this Dream Vehicle:

This is one of the options I'm looking at for the replacement of my aging Mr2. The Nobel has to be twice as much fun to drive then an Mr2 and it will blow the doors off any exotic I'm likely to meet up with on the road. Adding this car to my garage would more then likely downgrade my Vette to my daily beater which would give it "rain duty" and it has only been driven in the rain maybe 3x. Heck, it probably hasn't seen more than 500 hours of direct sunlight for that matter. Other possible alternatives are the Lexus LFA (probably too much $$), the new NSX (depends on how much it hits the street for), or a Supra if Toyota ever gets off their butts.

The only thing I don't like about this car is the looks of the back end, but I'm sure the right paint will help to erase some of the ugliness of the black mesh.

I may ride out to Ohio in a couple months to give one a test drive which will probably result in me forking over a down payment. I'm not too crazy about a fiberglass car as a daily driver, especially one that is going to have a 3 stage paint job.

Eventually I get what I want, whether or not I will continue to want after a test drive and seeing it up close is another story Smile Now that the Vette is paid off and the Camaro is about finished, I'm starting to save for the $25k down payment. I plan to take a little road trip this summer to take one for a test drive and if I like it, hand over the down payment.

For a specially ordered vehicle (ie custom paint) they want $25k down, another $25k when it ships in approx 16 weeks, and the balance on delivery which should be a total of around 6 months.

Update 07/09/2008: Well the game is on again. The Noble M12/M400 has been redesigned and rebadged as a Rossion Q1. They claim 80% of the car has been modified taking into account all the little things that have been bugging current owners. My favorite fix is that the windows will now go all the way down. The new Q1 has a very close resemblance to the M400. The interior has been refined and the HP has been increase to 450. I'd like to make this my new daily driver (can't see turning this into a "beater"Wink, but only if I can squeeze decent gas mileage out of it. The only thing that will give this thing a run for the money around here would be a soup'd up vette or a ZR1.http://www.rossioncars.com/

Exterior Modifications:

Will have it specially paint either candy brandywine (like my 69 camaro) or a pearl or candy orange. You know, something exotic :)

Interior Modifications:

Will definately get a power window conversion to start and will have to rig some sort of floating regulator to allow the windows to go all the way down. That just sux that they would make a car like that. This would be a deal breaker.

Performance:

(OLD M400 performance figures)
0-60 in 3.5 secs (although I've also seen mention of 3.3)
0-100 in 7.8 secs (car & driver)
1/4 mile 11.7 secs (car & driver)
skidpad 1.22g
70-0mph 157ft

Suspension/Chassis:

• Dynamic race dampers and springs

Drivetrain:

Twin Turbo 3.0l V6 mated w/ Getrag 6 speed Transaxle

Electronics:

Sounds like another one of those cars where the last thing you want to do is ruin the experience with a set of speakers. This is a true sports car and it has no sound dampening materials to add weight so a sound system is virtually useless.

To-Do List:

Test drive, put down a deposit!
