I've had the Tearstone Basic Turbo Kit for a couple of months now, I've just been waiting to get everything else in before I can start the install. The whole boosting process will happen in a few stages, beginning in July.
1. Once the exhaust and high-flow cat come in, they'll be put on the car. I need a welder to weld the high flow cat, if they can get it to match up perfectly with the exhaust, I can install the exhaust myself.
2. After the exhaust is put on, the next stage is to get the clutch installed. Since I've been quoted a $500 install for the clutch, my plans are going to sit in the water for a while until I have the cash for this, as well as the cash for the next step.
3. During the first two steps, I'll be installing the Aeromotive FPR and the Evo 8 Fuel Pump. However, by this step they have to be installed to move on.
4. Now it will be time to install the kit and get a basic tune. Once it's stable and I'm not afraid of detonation, I'll be waiting to drive the car down to Anchorage to get it dyno tuned.
My goal is to have the car boosted and track-worthy by the end of September.
