I was driving down the road to work one day when I noticed the car sitting there with the good ol for sale sign. i said to myself "couldn't afford that, besides I'm a mustang guy any way." So I kept on driving on by it day after day for about two or three month (never even stopped and looked at the price) and never stopped. then one day I just stopped and looked I saw the guy only want $900.00 for it and I say to my self " I got to have this one!' So long story short I bought. I found to my suprise the interior was about 50 complete with a brand new seats, head liner, and door panels (though it does need new carpet and gauges.). The best part was, though the paint was peeling in a few places , there was not a spot of rust one her. So I got her home (tow trucks are awesome) and found she would crank. I came with a 289 ci "K" code engine and I was excited. Well I started tearing it down and my dismay it had a cracked water jacket ( yeh some jack leg had bored it .60 over.) So the whole motor ended up being junk. At this point it was off to the bone yard to find the kitty kat a new heart. It was then I ran across a cherry little 302 block and yes ladies and gentlemen it was on from there. I only had about $3000.00 to build the engine so grocery gtter part were all I could afford and I beleive I have done well for myself. So I now have good heart to her and tax season is soon upon us, so the tranny, rear end, and brakes are next. I am currently attending greenville tech and the work is free just pay for parts. So she will be done in about 1-2 years. Just a work in progress.........
None just a good ol street rod...Not even power steering.......
None as of yet, she needs to be repainted.......She will have a cowl hood when I am done and I plan to paint her pearl black.
None as of yet, but I plan a nice stock style restoration (with the exception of the gauges. I would like them to be digital!
