My "project car"

1983 Mazda RX-7

About this Current Vehicle:

I bought this RX-7 in 2002 with the intention of using its rust free body as a starting point for the RX-7 I always wanted. One built according to the Renn Sport (RS) philosophy followed by Porsche.

I stripped it, swapped in my specially tuned engine, and started to delete every item I didn't absolutely need.

Its now sitting at a friends place, a few hundered pounds lighter, but unfortunately not completed, and she will probaly stay that way fro quite some time.

Factory Options:

Nothing left but a couple of seats, a steering wheel and a few switches

Exterior Modifications:

Sunroof replaced with fiberglass pannel, "Porsche 924 C-GT" style vented faccia...

Interior Modifications:

deleted: Stereo, Map pockets (surprisingly heavy) parcel shelf, spare wheel, heating system, AC, Sound insulation, stock seats, arm rest, glove box, sunroof

Added: Miata seats, aluminum center console, white face gauges

Performance:

Tuned Nikki carburator, "rats nest" removal (if you dont know...look at a pic of a stock RX-7 FB engine bay), Custom built headders (built using jig design pioneered by GTU racers), ported and polished intake manifold.

Suspension/Chassis:

N/A

Drivetrain:

N/A

Electronics:

None...cept the distributor, headlights and a few other "eccentials"

To-Do List:

N/A
