I sold my GTO in hopes to free up some money so I could start saving for a C6 Corvette Z06, but that's still a few years away before used prices come down into my range. I was one month into truck ownership, and loved the practicality of it, but missed having a toy. So in my quest for looking for something cheap to tide me over a few years until it was C6 Z06 time, I decided to pick up a bike.
Since it was going to be my first bike I wanted something that would be easy to learn on, but something I could grow into as well. I've always heard great things about the Honda CBRs and a 600cc was just what I was looking for. It just so happened that I ran across a really good deal on this one so I went ahead and scooped it up. The plan is to ride it whenever the weather allows. Here in Tennessee it doesn't get below 40* for a large portion of the year so I should be able to ride almost year-round.
UPDATE: I'm getting married and I just bought a house, so the bike didn't fit into my life any more. I sold it to help furnish the house. I'll probably get another bike down the road, but I also realized in bike ownership how much it made me miss having a "fun car" around. My SCCA Solo II Miata has me interested in roadsters, and I've always liked Honda, so now I'm S2000 shopping.

Cool! You'll enjoy it, I miss mine. Do yourself a favor and invest in a nice helmet, they are worth every penny.
