Trans lines were leaking and it was 4,000 miles out of the 3/36 warranty. Apparently hoses and sensors are not a part of the 5/100 powertrain warranty. The dealership took care of it for a small 'deductible' and also drained my trans and filled it up with the Transsyn that I supplied them. It's getting warm out and its going to be time to clean it up and see if anything else needs work.

I've been using Mobil 1 5w40 for turbo diesel trucks. Usually my oil change interval is in the 6-7,000 mile range with little oil usage. Just recently I've tried to go for a little longer interval, and being synthetic it's ok to do. I noticed a little more oil usage, however the extreme cold might have had something to do with it. Going to change the oil to 0w40 Mobil 1 and keep an eye on the oil level.
I'll change both the filters on the Allison trans next month and refill with Transynd. I'll also try to change the differential fluids.

Fast approaching the 36,000 mile barrier. Many oil changes, 3 fuel filter changes, and 2 tire rotations later the truck is still great. Want to flush the trans out and replace with Allison Transynd soon. The best mileage so far was 19.46 (hand calculated) and the worst during the winter with warmup times and 4wd is 14-15. This is not bad considering I have cruise at 75mph on the freeway. Would easily do 20+ if I just stayed off the throttle.

I love the 07 classic, I'm not super fond of the new body style that my friend has. I find the new style harder to drive and not very "truck" like. I don't know what I'm going to do when I have to replace this bad boy
