When the 4.6L Ford "Modular" engine came out, I was one of the first ones to give it a try. I put the deposit down and picked up a white Mustang GT package 248a (no-options) to keep the weight down. This car was terribly slow, barely breaking into the 14s at the track. I started saving for a Vortech supercharger, and when I had enough cash to buy it, the LS1 f-bodies came out in 1998, so I used the Vortech fund as a down payment on the blue 1998 Formula. Best performance decision I've ever made :-)
It was a stripped option, package 248a "GT-S".
