New Toy This Summer!
About this Current Vehicle:
She is a fully loaded triple black 1996 Mustang GT Convertable. She has a weak arse 4.6 litre and an AOD transmission but all this is being rectified as time goes by. Just picked up PI heads and intake and am now searching out a better choice in cams. I am also considering SLP Long Tube Headers, catted X- Pipe and the SLP Loudmouth exhaust . Also considering lowering the compression and bolting up a supercharger, just not sure if I went to get into the bottom end of the motor to run a serious boost. Well more to come but for the record I have already installed a new top, layed new higher quality and softer leather on the interior, new battery, rebuilt the trans and changed the motor and trans mounts. Oh and since I am driving her as I work on her I ripped out the worn Mach 1000 sound system and replaced it with a Pioneer Premier head unit that is Bluetooth/I-pod compatible, 8 MB Quartz speakers, 2 Sony Amps (240 and 400 watts) and though the box is not done yet a set of 12's behind the back seat with crossovers that will be hidden in a factory carpeted box that looks like part of the trunk. Have not decided on what 12's to go with yet.
More to come so just consider her "Under Construction" for now!

Stock except for a new upgraded material on her top

Complete system, new leather interior, styling bar, hard leather convertable boot.
Performance:
New dual exhaust that was done previously before I bought her, PI Heads and Intake. Planning on a CAI soon or just say screw it and set her up for a supercharger. Hence my dilema on the cams to go with the heads and whether or not I want to get into a forged lower end for serious boost forgivness, not to mention having to lower the compression to avoid detenation.
Suspension/Chassis:
Black and Chrome 18"Bullet Rims that are on the way.
Right now it has 17" silver universal six spokes (yuk).
HGK Lowering springs.
Planning on adding either the Cobra upgrade rotor and calibers front and rear or just shilling out the cash and going Brembo, though they seem like overkill to me for what I have planned with her.
Drivetrain:
2800 stall convertor, shift kit.
Electronics:
Pioneer Premier head unit w/ I-pod, Blue tooth readiness, eight MB Quartz Speakers, two Sony amps (240 and 400 watts) and waiting for the box to be built before choosing what 12's I want to go with. Oh and do not forget the crossovers.
To-Do List:
read above but for the record I plan on a two seat style conversion boot, possibly swapping the factory ground effects for another non ricerish looking setup to carry a certain look, etc........... lets just say more to come.
