About this Current Vehicle:

It's originally a 91GT that has been converted to look like an 86GT. I installed an IRS from a 2003 Cobra along with a front 5lug conversion from a 95 mustang. The brakes are from a 96 and up Cobra as well. I have installed 2003 Cobra leather seats in the front and the back. My car came with an automatic and I swapped in a T-5 to elevate the fun factor. The paint and body work were done by me in my garage. The paint is a factory color form a Nissan 350z called Daytona Blue. For the engine it has a built 306 with forged aluminum pistons and a stock bottom end. I used Ford GT-40y cylinder heads with 1.6 rockers. The supercharger is a Votech V2-SQ real street kit.

It's still a work in progress and I still need to get a final tune to see what kind of power it will make. It has been 3 years to tis point and right now I am real close to where I want to be with the car. Thanks for looking.

Winter 2008 update

I modified the back side of the front lower control arms this winter. This allowed me to remove 1 set of steering rack limiters. I now have the turning radius back that was lost when I went to the 17x8 front wheels. Pictures will be added of the notches in the arms.

This spring will hopefully allow me to get the A/C put back in and I want to add a wide band O2 gauge too. I would be nice to see how the engine responds to a meth injection kit that is planed as well.

Other than that, the house is getting added on to. We're pushing the kitchen back and adding a 3rd bedroom that will be our master suite. The Mustang will have to take a back seat during that time. All $ will go in the addition this year.

Factory Options:

Air, power windows and door locks. Sunroof and cruise control.

Exterior Modifications:

Front clip from an 86GT. Fiberglass 2.5inch cowl hood. Smoothed engine bay with hidden wiring harness. Lowered the rocker panels to cover the 'pinch weld'. Shaved fuel door. Fuel filler behind the flip down licence plate. 86GT tail lights. Mustang LX belt moulding all the way around.

Interior Modifications:

2003 Cobra leather seats. Still retain the 91 hatch flip down rear seats.
Battery hidden behind the plastic in the rear where the fuel filler used to be.
2003 Cobra Dark Charcoal Grey carpet.
1999 Dash, 03 Cobra center console, 95 Gt gauge cluster. Custom made door panels.

Performance:

306 ci. Ford. Machine work done by Speed Performance Engineering in Wauconda (thanks Mike) Stock lower end. FMS GT-40 heads. Trick Flow cam, FMS 1.6 roller rockers. Trick Flow 'R' upper and lower intake. 42 pound injectors. Lightning MAF. Mac equal length headers. Vortech V2-SQ blower, around 11 pounds boost. MSD 6al igntion box.

Suspension/Chassis:

Granatelli K member. Maximum Motorsports CC plates. Billstien struts front and rear. SN95 spindles. 13 in Cobra brakes. 2003 Cobra IRS (bolted right in!) 98 GT wheels polished by Brownies in Ringwood. Rear wheels widened to 9.5 in by Weldcraft. 275/40/17 Nitto 555r rears and 245/45/17 Yokohama avs100's in front.

Drivetrain:

1993 T-5 and an aluminum Ford driveshaft. Engine and trans setback in chassis 1 inch.

Electronics:

Stock so far.

To-Do List:

Put the damn A/C back in! Needs a decent sound system too.
