Worked a little on taking apart the front end on Sat and Sun. Today I decided on a 351W for the power plant. Gonna work on it some more this weekend.

Drove to Harrisburg on the 7th, loaded it up and hauled it back down. He (named after Col. Mustard from the Clue game by the misses) is sitting in the driveway begging for a back scratch. It was a struggle through the hills with the Sierra. The engine had no problem but the trans cooler was crap and let it overheat a couple times. Then the old dry-rotted tires lost air which led to astop to readjust all four chains which only deflated the tires more. Today I picked up four used Michelin LTX M/S tires (235-75R15) and had them mounted on the wheels ($100 for the old tires off, new tires on and new valve stems plus disposal of the old tires). Now all four wheels look the same and the tires are staying inflated. The neighbor even came over and vacuumed out the cab while I was fiddling with the tires. Next I have to get the title.
2wd 1/2 ton Styleside pickup on a 115 inch wheelbase. 240ci 6 cylinder with a 3.03 Syncromesh 3 speed Manual Transmission and 3.70 open rear end.
Rust and Neglect
Decomposition
Engine removed for a loss of 122hp.
Twin I Beam for now. Will be installing an IFS from an 03-06 Crown Vic for the front. Maybe a 3 or 4 link in the back.
Currently just a 9" Rear. It will be rebuilt ending with 3.90's or 4.11's and an LSD. Plans for a 351W. Possibly a 393 or 408 stroker. Looking for a modest 4-500hp. Trans is still in the air. Will be manual. Probably a beefed up T5.
Still has a couple wires running to the headlights and tail lights.
Disassemble (In Progress), Add cross-member, Figure out suspension, Sand and paint Frame with rust inhibitor, Find Engine and Trans combo, and Body Work.
