About this Current Vehicle:

I rescued this thing from a fate worse than death...Charlie's repair work. Had it for years, used to drive from Dallas to College Station in this.

Vehicle Journal:

Oct 18

Drag races

Best time was 19.41 seconds on the 1/4 mile. Not bad...if I had ever gotten traction (I don't drag race much) I probably could break into the 18's...

It's pretty much stock, so I'm pleasantly surprised.

Videos incoming.

Factory Options:

Factory toolbox, styleside

Exterior Modifications:

Lowered by monoleaf springs.

Interior Modifications:

Interior shaved doorhandles.

Performance:

Great on the highway. I have overdrive on the T-5 in it, but the rear gears are so weak that I can't really use it. I'm looking for a new ring and pinion, maybe somewhere around 3.73:1

Suspension/Chassis:

I beam suspension up front, monoleaf springs mounted longitudinally all around.

Drivetrain:

272 cid Y-block with tubular headers and a four barrel Holley.

Electronics:

HA!

To-Do List:

New rear gears, new tailshaft housing on the T-5, finish interior, paint, new exhaust.
