Linkin Park - Points Of Authority
This is my 2004 Dodge SRT-4 that I purchased new about 3 1/2 years ago. I purchased this car due to many reasons. I first of all wanted something really affordable which it probably that best bang for your buck. I also wanted a car that was manual transmission, 4 cylinder w/forced induction. I was either getting this car or a Cobalt SS Supercharged at the time. I decided to go with this car because I wasn't interested in a ION Redline and couldn't wait for the Cobalt SS to be released to the public. I got this car but not intending to mod it at first. When the salesmen had to take it for a spin and open it up a bit during the test drive, I was just shocked on the power and acceleration this car had just bone stock. I was pretty much sold after that. I got the car and at first only installed a Mopar Performance drop-in air filter. After that I started to change things like running the car without the airbox lid to get more air to the engine and I felt even more throttle response. I later on decided to install a K&N Cold Air Intake system and I felt a bit of a difference in power just from that. I told myself that this would be fast enough for me and didn't really feel like spending much money on the car. Once I installed my first mod you can't stop modding with these cars. My next mods after the intake were Mopar Short-Throw shifter, (Race) Motor Mount inserts, Mopar 2.5" Cat-back, Stage 1 PCM, Needswings 3" catless downpipe with 3" cutout & PTP WGA. After those mods the car felt a lot quicker for just minor bolt on's. This past winter I decide to go all out with this car. I ordered a laundry list of mods. I was going Mopar Stage 3 w/toys & TiAl wheel turbo upgrade kit and needed to be ready with all the bolt on's I would need. I ordered my kit on March 1st, 2008. The first things I started to order were AEM Wideband gauge, Dual Aeroforce Scan gauges & 3 Pod A-Pillar. After that I believe I ordered AGP Upper and Lower Hardpipes with Greddy Flange. I was then on a search for a Greddy Type-S BOV which I was able to find a brand new one on Ebay from Japan and as some of you know Greddy Type-S BOV's are rare and discontinued. They also have a very distinctive sound. I also decide to pick up a Custom Tubes Inc. a.k.a. CTI 2.5" Hotside intercooler pipe due to the factory pipe have a flat spot in the bends under the oil pan. Once those were installed on the car, I ordered my Defi Blue Racer 30vac/30psi Boost gauge. It's a very cool gauge and only illuminates when the ignition is turned on. The next parts on the list were 18x8 Enkei ZR-1's, 225/40/18 Yokohama Parada Spec-2's, Megan Racing 32-way Adjustable coilovers, Stop-Tech Cross-drilled rotors, EBC RedStuff Brake pads, MPx Big FMIC, P-Werks Crash/Support Bar, & New Design Electronics TCS w/2-step. Once everything was installed and ready for my Mopar Stage 3 w/toys kit, I still hadn't received it after 5 1/2 months later and found out that Mopar was thinking of scraping the Stage 3 kits due to them being on national back order so I cancelled my order and looked for something else in my price range. I did recall AGP Turbo coming out with a kit about a month after I order my Mopar kit and went to AGP Turbo's site to check out their Stage 3 Delta kit. The kit came in 2 versions - Base kit which came with a T3/T3 base turbo, Manifold, o2 Housing, Dump Tube & Turbonetics Evolution 38mm Wastegate & their complete kit which includes all the above in the base kit plus SCT Flash Programmer, RC 750CC injectors, Walbro 255 Fuel Pump & Mopar Stage 2/3 3.0 Bar MAP/TIP sensors. I wasn't into the whole "big turbo" thing and knew I would need to dump more money into the car for this kit. So I did some research and found out that this turbo would spool like a "M" Stage 3 turbo. This kit was make at least 350whp/350wtq on just 17-18psi of boost. I contacted AGP Turbo and asked how much horsepower I would be looking at and which size turbine wheel would best fit my needs. I ended ordering the 44lb per minute wheel since it would make at least 390whp on pump gas and somewhere in the range of 440hp on race gas. Currently the kit is installed on my car as of now and running about 17-18psi and I gotta say this car is official Tweeked now.

Well, I decided to go to Eurocharged Performance for their Open House day to check it out and watch a few dyno runs and possibly get my car dynoed. I had filled the car up with 110 before my buddy and I drove out there. We got the car on dyno just before the shop closed and had to wait for everyone that had RWD to finish first before we could switch the dyno around for FWD. I didn't really have the shop tune my car since I wanted to see what the AGP flash tunes I had would do first. The first run was at 25psi, second was on 26psi and then 27psi and the last run spiked 28psi but fell to about 26-27psi and we hit 408whp/470wtq. I was very impressed with the numbers and it's a good starting point to go from. There's probably about 15-20hp and 20-25tq hiding in that car and I plan on finding it next year when I switch from SCT to DSP. The car was running a bit rich down low until the rpm's came up and held 11.2-11.3 at redline and got 3 counts of knock @ 28* degrees of timing. This was also all done on a stock clutch.

It was a great sunny weekend and I was out in Peoria with the g/f just driving back when all of sudden, I noticed I couldn't boost the car. Everytime the car would hit -5vac or 0psi it would just literally choke up and fall on it's face. I was about 10-15 miles out from Galesburg on I-74. Once I reached Galesburg, I pulled into the Autozone to check everything under to hood to see what might be going wrong. I took a glance at my fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail to find out I'm only getting 17-20psi of fuel to the motor and needs to be at 58-60psi. After seeing that, it could only mean my Walbro 255 fuel pump is toast.

Well, my new AGP turbo has been installed for Project Tweeked. I'm still awaiting on a few parts like the Turbonetics Variable Boost Controller and Boomba Fuel Rail. The car is running off just the wastegate and boosting about 10psi. Everything seems to be running good except for the minor squealing I'm having from time to time and getting used to the gas mileage. After the first 105 miles on the turbo I layed into it to see how strong it felt and at 10psi it pulled as hard as my stock turbo at 17-18psi.
