I bought this truck a decade ago in HS for $800.
Believe it or not, I drove it to school a few times a week, when the other Ramcharger ('85 2wd) wasn't running right.
Time for a new everything.
I pulled the intake off the old block to find 4 bent pushrods. Now I know why it would hardly move under it's own power - two dead cylinders.
318 v8
NP435 4spd
NP203 AWD
2 solid axles of fury
Convertible
Stripping it to the metal...again. Flat black it is.
Rustoleum interior. Original short two tone buckets. Mmmm 70's.
Edelbrock 1403
Edelbrock performer manifold
Headers with true dual exhaust
swapping in a 74 duster block/heads soon with new headers, ram clutch and new motor mounts.
Going to attempt electric fan(s) and aluminum radiator when the new motor goes in.
Stock suspension clears 33's with ease.
Two solid axles. Life is good.
Plan on shackle flip, possibly suspension lift.
Stock. Hope it doesn't break...soon.
We don't need no stinkin' electronics.
Seriously. It has a coil and plug wires. The end.
I did remake the battery cables out of 0/2 gauge.
I need to do the "ammeter bypass mod." Why? Not doing it
is the leading cause of these trucks burning to the ground.
