1991 was the final year for this style of the Daytona. In 1992 they had fixed headlights. This is 1 of 150 of the C/S model made for 1991, the final year for the C/S package. It has the turbocharged 2.5L 4 cylinder motor and heavy duty five-speed "568" transaxle. The C/S Competition package consisted of adding the turbo motor, HD transaxle, 16" "pumper" wheels, Shelby suspension and brakes to the base model car. Although these were not shown as being available with the ground effects package, the original owner had the dealer install them when it was sold new, so it is a truly unique vehicle.
The 1991 Daytonas with 4 wheel disk brakes used improved brakes as opposed to the prior models.
This is a one owner car I found in California in August 2008 with 140K miles. It is in far better shape than the average Daytona. Due to the lack of 1991 Daytonas being for sale, I had it shipped here to Florida.

The car had a squeal in the belt area that was either the water pump or the alternator- both are on the same belt so I couldn't narrow it down exactly. I replaced the water pump and found this was only part of the problem. The car wouldn't start when I took it off the jack stands. After a lot of diagnostic work, I found the computer was bad. To top that off, the new alternator I got for it was defective out of the box- it had something wrong internally to where the pulley would not turn freely.
I got a Mopar Performance computer for the car and this allowed it to start & run. As soon as the replacement alternator gets here, it will be back in business.
C/S competition package.
Ground effects added by dealer at time of new car sale.
