A blast from the past..

I recently came across pictures of this vehicle and thought I would add it to my garage. This is a 1968 Dodge Dart ragtop that I owned some time in the early 80's when I lived in Hawaii. No idea whether it was a real Dart GT, but it was wearing the badges when I bought it... If it was, the original engine was long gone.

It was in pretty good shape, and I think I paid $1600 for it. There was a slant 6 under the hood when I got it, but it threw a rod almost immediately, so I replaced the motor with a 318 c.i. V8 I took out of a '71 Plymouth Valiant. I used this car as a beach cruiser... I eventually sold it, and it was wrecked by the person I sold it to.
