I bought this Z in 2003. When I got it, it had a 3.0ltr stroker motor, stock suspension and a body kit. It has gone through many changes. This includes removing the body kit, putting the MSA type3 front airdam, putting a forged motor in, and turbocharging it.

Well 6 months later and I sold the precision turbo and went with a Garrett 50 trim T3/t4. I installed it as well as the heat blanket, small upgraded cam and much needed stronger CV shafts. Now to tune for some boost and let her rip..

Man talk about being pissed off. I was on my way back from the canceled DNI event due to the awesomeness of Rain!.. I did manage to get 27mpg in the ole Z.. About a mile before my exit in mobile AL I get into boost to get over so I can exit..Then whooosh.. strange sound came from the turbo.. I look back.. nothing but smoke.. I coasted off the interstate , take my intercooler piping off.. YUP.. brand new precision turbo.. dead.. Compressor side is fine, no oil residue or anything.. Exhaust side is the problem. Im sending it back since it is under warranty.

Yep, time to get your cars ready and head to the track.
This year's event is being held on a Saturday, during the track's regular "Quarter Mile Saturday" Test & Tune session. There will also be a CSR S/ST 6.90 index 1/8th mile Bracket Race taking place on the same day. There are usually only 20 or so cars competing in that event, so it should not interfere with your ability to get in many many passes down the track. Don't worry, we're still running the Test & Tune on the full quarter mile.
We'll still be gathering at the host hotel on Friday the 22nd, doing our usual socializing and going to dinner as a group. Some people will be meeting at the track as well.
This year, instead of US collecting money for the Tech Passes, the track will be collecting money for them when you enter.
Fees are as follows:
* $10 Track Admission (per spectator or crew member)
* $25 Tech Pass Fee (includes Tech Pass for car AND driver's Track Admission)
There will NOT be a raffle this year. If prizes are donated by sponsors or attendees, they will be awarded at random, by a drawing from the tech passes sold. The winners will be announced over the PA system at the track throughout the event.
If you'd like to line up against somebody in particular and race them, feel free to do so. Grudge matches ARE allowed and encouraged. Otherwise, pairings will be at random unless you organize it with your opponent of choice.
The track IS holding a Friday Night Street Legal Drags session, open to the general public, if you'd like to go tune (or break) your car on Friday night, but it is NOT part of our DNI Shootout and separate fees apply.
The facility opens up at 12:00 Noon First Test & Tune run is at 2:00 p.m.
For more information about the event click the link. There are pics and vids from previous events..

Did you add an inline oil filter this time? (We should call it a turbo shop excuse filter.)
Still no restrictor?
Hopefully this turbo will not be faulty!!!
DON'T BLOW THE NEW ONE UP!
