About this Current Vehicle:
Ordered direct from GM in 1996. Just replaced the intake gaskets for the 6th time in 160,000 miles (can we say "sh!#y design change!" leaving out the middle intake bolts on the Vortec intakes...Dumbest thing GM ever did!!!!!!). Had the intake re-surfaced this time and replaced valve springs and seats, hopefully it will last more than 25,000 miles!!!!!!!!!
Factory Options:
5.0 multi-port Vortec v8, 4x4 chassis, 4L60E O.D. transmission, premium audio sound system, air, cruise, tilt, rear defrost(Minnesota), cloth interior(leather sucks in Minnesota), extended cab, short box, skid plates, H.D. suspension package, 245-75-16 tires with steel 16x7" rims.
Exterior Modifications:
Tanneau cover. Tinted rear side glass. Deer impact damages. 265-75-16 tires w/polished billet aluminum 16x8" rims.
Interior Modifications:
Kids fingerprints and dog drool on the windows!!!!!!!
Performance:
5.0vortec v8, Hi-flow catalytic converter, hi-flow air filter, AMSOIL fluids throughout motor and chassis.
Suspension/Chassis:
Heavy duty Gas shocks, HD springs, AMSOIL differential fluids front & rear.
Drivetrain:
Re-built transmission with new Billet servo and valve-body mods for firmer shifts with AMSOIL synthetic trans fluid. New 16x8 polished billet aluminum off-road rims. 265-75-16 tires.
Electronics:
GM Delco premium audio system with CD and cassette & speed comp volume.
To-Do List:
Fully rebuild 5.0vortec with .030 over-bore and aftermarket cam, windage tray and HI-flow cold air kit OR replace 5.0 with 5.7vortec with same mods, looking for 400+HP. Aftermarket exhaust. Chrome side-steps. Aftermarket paint and ram-air hood.
