Dad bought it back in 2004 from the 2nd owner, who had owned the car since late 1984. The first owner(22 year old guy) bought it new, and sold it after a few months of owning it. 2nd owner bought it as his wife's car. Car never saw winter or rain in those 20 years(except for an occasional "got caught in the rain" situations) until his wife died in 1997. He took the plates off the car and let it sit in his garage, occasionally taking the plates off of his Corvette and cruised around town.
We bought it with 90k on it in April of 2004. Right away we did tires, battery, tune up, rebuilt the Rochester carb, radiator, brakes, air filter, belts/hoses just to get it "safe" for a cruiser. In the last 11 years, the car has seen less than 5,000 miles. Right now it's sitting at around 92,300 miles. So just over 2k miles in the 4 years WE have owned her! It is an excellent cruiser, 95% original(except for some paint work in the front end X amount of years ago) and definitely too clean/straight/true to hack up and modify!!!
