I traded a nice 1987 Monte Carlo SS straight up for the '72. The '72 was in damn good shape but the original 350 was in terrible running condition. It had some burned valves and the nylon coating from the teeth of the original timing gears ended up in the oil pan. Eventually that 350/t350 combo got swapped out for the 355/t350 combo listed below.
Southern car all it's life originally purched in NC, triple black, bench seat, 4 bolt main 355 cid, Quadrajet carb, Edelbrock RPM intake, KB pistons with 11.1 compression, 280dur./480 lft. comp cam, doublehump fuelie heads drilled for accessories, balanced bottom end, Turbo 350, 12 bolt with no gear, and 8" Corvette rallie wheels.
Air conditioning, Vinyl top, Vinyl seats, Dual exhaust.
Black paint.
Sun tach.
