I bought this car in 2005, it only had 61,000 miles on it at the time. I looked for this car for quite awhile before finding it. My criteria were that the car be a 91, have a six speed manual, have black interior, be low miles, be stock, and it could not have a white exterior. I found this car in Florida, I was living in Utah at the time, so I went all the way across the country to get this car, a little over 2600 miles when it was all over with.
The car has all the interior options that were available that year; 6 way power seats, adjustable lumbar, premium stereo, etc... Unfortunately, the car only has a few of the performance options that were available in 91. It has the FX3 adjustable suspension, but lacks the ZO7 handling option, and the J55 brake option. It is also not a ZR1 optioned car, so it has the L98 instead of the LT5.
There are none. The car is on the stock wheels, stock ride height, etc... I have tinted the windows.
Not many. There is a nitrous bottle in the rear hatch area, and I have some LED lights mounted in the heater vent that let me know when the nitrous system is armed. I re-wired the sport seat buttons to act as nitrous controls.
I started with a bone stock 1991 Corvette. My first mod was a set of headers, removing the cats, and magnaflow mufflers. I also installed and in car wideband from PLX Devices, and installed a nitrous kit. The engine sat like that until about 6 months ago. I swapped the heads for hand ported heads from Trick Flow, installed an aggressive Comp Cams XFI cam shaft, and went to a smaller single plane intake. With these mods, I think the car should ET in the high 11's at 115-118 MPH. With a 150 HP shot of nitrous, I'm hoping to see high 10's at 130+. The car isn't quite done yet, so right now I'm just guessing at the times.
KYB stock replacement shocks and solid rear bushings. The rest is stock.
Centerforce dual friction clutch, B&M shifter, 4.10 gears, and a spool.
Stock, except for the additional stuff for the nitrous and a Mallory ignition box.
Lots, lol. The paint is kinda rough, so that's on the list. Wheels are on the list, some kind of permanent power adder other than nitrous, a new motor, etc... Lots of stuff I want to do, but my wallet just can't handle it, lol.
