I got this 70' Chevelle (Malibu) on 8/20/06, My father and I drove to Atlanta bought the car and I drove it back to my house 300 miles without any problems..I plan to update the page after I do something to the car.
The car is ghetto.. for example: Some smart guy that owned the car at one time named Sammy got his name with some rosey designs engraved into the glass on both doors and rear 1/4 windows, And im sure Sammy was also the one that had the bright blue crush velvet interior... But anywho.. The car has a stright body and and all the floors are still good.So not much body work is left to do to the car.
The engine is a stock 1972 350ci with a th350 trans. Has a 10 bolt non-posi with 308 gears (i think) needless to say its not the fastest car, But it does run good.
I have some pretty big plans for the car, But it will be awhile Im 23 years old with a wife and two kids, I dont ever have spending money, So even if it takes me 10 years .. So be it. It will be the car I really want it to be one day.
Thanks for reading,
Allen
UPDATES:15x8 Rally wheels w/ new bf goodrich tires all around, installed a cd player, installed black proform valve covers, installed a hurst pro-shift 2 shifter, pulled all the old ugly blue carpet, Installed a tach, Installed a few seat belts, did a little body work. I also have the wheel well chrome to install sometime in the near future..
More to come, And updated pics.
None, Was a plain jane malibu.
Engraved glass with someone else's name on it, 4 non-matching wheels, rusty exhaust tips, homemade cowl hood onto a stock flat hood. haha
But I did paint the grey grille black and added a SS emblem and added a rear bumper with the SS pad, Yes I know this does not make the car a Super-Sport, I just think it looks better.
A bright blue velvet back seat, no door panels, torn up blue carpet, some seat covers on the front seats, no headliner, no stereo, Cracked and faded dash pad...
Sweet huh?
The car has some cherry bombs on it, Sounds pretty nasty, And not in a good way.
Other then that it looks pretty much stock.

That's gonna be a nice car when you're done.
Very nice! I've always been a huge fan of those cars.
amazing what someone will do in the name of 'customization', isn't it? Good luck with the project - looks like you have a solid car to build.
