I've owned this car since about 1981, I'm the second owner. When I got it, it had about 89,000 miles on it and it was turquoise with a black top and black sport interior, with factory A/C, power brakes and power steering. I drove the car for about three years after I got it and did nothing to it. as It was, at that time my transportation. After several years I re-painted it Black Cherry not once but twice, after years of driving the car and two kids we had an encounter was an extremely large pothole which sidelined the car for a number of years, about 13 to be exact. On Memorial Day weekend 2006 I pulled the car out storage, only to find the primer I had applied years earlier had cracked. After some help from wife and daughter, by the end of the weekend the car was once again bare metal void of all previous paint, primer and bodywork. Then shortly after that the car was completely dis-assembled, and I mean completely. I've never had a car this far apart, and from there everything was re-built or replaced. Fast forward to Memorial Day weekend 2007, the car was almost completely done and it was taken to it first of many shows. Since then the car has received numerous awards including a best paint award from Chip Foose. I did almost everything on this car myself except for the re-building of the seats. I did the bodywork, the paint, the chassis, the re-assembly, the wiring, headliner and the vinyl top. This car was built to be driven!! As you can see from the photos it gets driven, the car has had over 7500 miles put on it in less 15 months, it was driven to Yuma, AZ in March of 2008 and Vegas in June 2008, and many more to come.

Love your ride ! your green is a little darker than mine, your base must have been almost black, mine was more charcoal looking. You use shimrin base candy ? mine is radiance II dye mixed with clearcoat. great job you done. Maybe we will cross paths
